ABOUT MARS TOKYO

Hi! I’m a mostly self-taught Visionary Artist born and bred in Baltimore, MD. My career as an artist spans six decades. In that time, I’ve attended the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China and gave a paper on Art as Information vs. Commodity at the N.G.O. portion. I’ve traveled to all of the 49 continental states. Over the years I’ve competed in many juried art shows as well as being shown often at the world renowned American Visionary Art Museum here in Baltimore.

ABOUT THE WORK

Using precious hand-made in America inks and acid-free 100% cotton Arches watercolor paper, I create colorful unique paintings that employ both random and instinctual elements. Throughout my work you’ll find an iconography filled with birds on the wing, facial profiles, dogs, horses, stars and many more images partially emerging.
